Recommendation page (Service Advisor)

The following page appears if the user is the Service Advisor and selects the Recommendation page.

Refer to Reviewing the inspection for instructions on using this page to review and confirm recommendations.

  1. Category, recommendation item and condition code - carried over from the Inspection page.
  2. Tech Comments - internal comments carried over from the Recommendation window. These are view-only for Service Advisors.
  3. Customer Comments - comments for the customer from the Technician. Carried over from the Technician Recommendation window.
  4. Hours, Labor Type, Labor Rate and Labor – the hours and labor amounts entered for the recommendation to calculate the total labor cost.
  5. Price – calculated total price of the recommendation (Labor + Parts).
  6. Parts Clerk Comments – comments as entered by the Parts Advisor.
  7. "Stock Availability" icons – as selected by the Parts Advisor regarding the availability of all parts requested for this recommendation.
  8. "Parts Required" button - use to indicate to the Parts Department that there is a parts request, if not selected by the Technician in the Technician Recommendation window.
  9. "Approve All"/"Defer All" buttons - (if enabled) select the appropriate button to set all recommendation decisions. Decisions can then be adjusted individually as needed.
  10. “Approved”/”Deferred” buttons – select the appropriate button depending on customer acceptance of the recommendation. If “Deferred” is selected, a drop-down list appears so the reason can be captured.
  11. Customer Comments – comments entered here will be visible to the customer and appear in the inspection report in the Recommended column.
  12. Recommended By – shows which user made the recommendation.
  13. Running totals of the recommendations - use "Show"/"Hide" as needed.
